Correspondence, notes, unprinted essays (including a biography of R.M. Horner), and field notebooks relating to the collection of botanical specimens for the Washington State University Ownbey Herbarium and for general distribution. Among the approximately fifty collectors represented are E.R. Bogusch, Lincoln Constance, J.S. Cotton, Arthur Cronquist, Henry Darlington, W.W. Eggleston, Thomas Howell, and Frank Kreager.
